The Full Moon in Pisces on August 30th was rough for many folks (including me). September started with a funky, achy, reflective mood. After all, Mercury and Venus are still retrograde (with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto). I’ve heard reports from clients and friends about wonky communications and trouble with cars, travel schedules, and computers.
The first two weeks of the month bring turnarounds and improvements. Not all at once, but it builds. Venus returns to full power, emphasizing relationships, arts, and beauty. Several transits activate the ongoing Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus (see the August newsletter for more on that duo.)
Here is a weekly overview for you.
Sept 3-9
On Sunday, Venus pivots into forward motion, and 13 hours later, Jupiter turns retrograde. It looks like divine harmony between the Earth signs while Jupiter and Venus, the “benefics,” swing and sway. The Moon weaves between them in one of her favorite signs, Taurus. I expect a pleasant Labor Day weekend.
On Wed, Mercury meets the Sun, marking a turning point in his retrograde. Watch for sudden clarity or revealing messages and news.
Good vibes are likely on Thursday and Friday morning as the Sun trines Jupiter. There might be a little friction on Friday afternoon, but it’s resolvable.
The Cancer Moon on Saturday suggests an excellent day to care for home and family matters. Pick up the house and stock the pantry. Have you checked your emergency supplies lately? If not, time to restock, organize, and ensure things are in order.
Sept 10-16
There is a New Moon in Virgo on Thursday. This lunar cycle starts by opposing Neptune, with supportive trines to Jupiter-Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. New Moons are generally a time of beginnings and “plant seeds.” This New Moon strikes me as a perfect time to set goals and make plans related to your health and vitality. Think about small daily changes that can add to significant improvements over time.
You’ll be happy to know that Mercury turns direct on Friday! The Sun in Virgo trines Uranus. Maybe the answers you’ve been seeking will show up from unexpected places. You do something different, and it works.
There is a celebratory, social mood over the weekend as Venus squares Jupiter for the 3rd and final time. The Moon is lighting up the relationship sign of Libra (where Mars is), so watch your urges. You may be tempted to overspend or overcommit.

Sept 17-30
The Sun opposes Neptune, so Monday and Tuesday are likely low-energy, no-motivation days. If you have a choice, push your meetings and productive times to later in the week. Folks will feel more driven on Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday may be a little angsty.
On Saturday, the Sun moves into Libra. It looks like a busy and loud weekend, full of exchanges, with an underlying thread of seriousness and consequences.
Venus and Mars connect with Chiron, the archetypal wounded healer and teacher. When Chiron is activated, sometimes old wounds re-emerge, demanding your attention. I see a conflict between individual needs and desires and social/relational demands and expectations.
It makes me think of continuing debates about individual freedom vs. public standards. We already have many examples of this type of conflict. You can see it in debates about COVID-19 vaccines and masking guidelines, gun control regulations, freedom of sexual and gender expression, reproductive rights, etc.
There may be a strong emphasis on collective issues like these, or it could manifest in your personal life. Perhaps a relationship partner or group wants more from you than you care to give, and you decide to say “no.” There is potential for protests, negotiations, threats, bargaining, ultimatums, etc.
Sept 24-30
Monday morning brings the 3rd and final Mercury trine Jupiter transit, while the Moon is in the fixed air sign of Aquarius. Reason prevails. Or maybe it doesn’t, but at least it’s there, with hope for compromise and agreement that benefits us all.
There may be legal or religious news or announcements related to air travel. The Moon carries the Mercury-Jupiter trine into midweek, giving us time for emotional responses and imagining potential.
The week and month end with two aspects to Uranus and a Full Moon in Aries. Venus squares Uranus and Mercury trines for the 3rd and last time this year. It’s a call for action and innovation. It’s also our last lunation before October eclipses.
Get up and move on Saturday, but don’t follow your usual routine. Try something different and say hello to strangers. You might make a new friend. If you’re watching sports, expect to see some sneak moves and upsets!
Wind down Saturday night and settle in with familiar loves. Plan a Sunday Funday to start October.
Golden Hours
All times are CST.

The Moon in Leo wants to be heard. Give people your full attention, express your genuine gratitude or admiration, and watch them purr with contentment.
