This summer marks five years since I launched my astrology practice from a single Facebook post on June 19, 2021. This soft launch has grown into something I’m genuinely proud of, and I wanted to share it with you.
To celebrate, I hosted a party at Mystic Resource Center, a wonderful metaphysical shop in the New Orleans area that has been a home base for astrology meetups and readings. There were cookies, giveaways, and games. I’m grateful to everyone who came out to commemorate the occasion.

On the path to certification in Fall 2026! I joined the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA) in 2021 and began its certification process. It’s a multi-year structured program that requires training in consulting skills and astronomy, as well as three peer-group experiences. The peer groups are purposely kept small and spaced months apart, each with a different leader to allow for integration between sessions. This fall, I’ll complete my third and final peer group to qualify for Certified Astrologer status.

What matters most is the people. It’s a privilege to sit with clients and explore each person’s unique life story. Astrology is like nursing in this way: I am privileged to hear about the hardest times and the most hopeful ones, people’s fears and their dreams. That’s the work that compels me to continue.

Looking forward to the next five years, I worked with Katia Perez Fuentes to reimagine this website and newsletter and move it from MailChimp to Ghost. The new website offers a space for my writing to be archived, searchable, and easier to navigate.
