This year is extraordinary for the number of outer-planet sign changes, and May is at the heart of it.
Neptune —> Aries (March 30)
Saturn —> Aries (May 24)
Jupiter —> Cancer (June 9)
Uranus —> Gemini (July 7)
What does this mean for you? This year's themes are accelerated change, dissolving structures, and emerging new forms. As above, so below. Are you experiencing job changes, moves, or relationship pivots?
THIS MONTH AT A GLANCE
May 2: Mars breaks new ground in Leo after a long retrograde phase
May 12: Find your inner goth at the Full Moon in Scorpio
May 24: Saturn enters Aries (major 2 1/2 year cycle begins)
May 26: New Moon in Gemini is perfect for setting fresh intentions
Featured Transit: Saturn-Neptune Conjunction in Aries
What it means: Saturn and Neptune come together only every 35-37 years, offering a new cycle of vision and structure. Their exact conjunction is in February 2026, but they'll be less than a degree apart most of this summer.
The question to ask yourself: What is your new vision? Aries offers courage and a willingness to champion new ideas. What structures do you need to build to support your boldest dreams?
Week 1 (April 28 - May 4): Rekindling Your Fire
The energy shifts as Mercury, Venus, and Mars bring the passion of Fire back to your life.
- April 30: Venus enters Aries and meets Neptune (May 1), bringing fresh energy to your relationships, style, and creative projects.
- May 2: Mars breaks new ground in Leo, finally moving forward after 7 months between 17 Cancer and 6 Leo.
- May 4: Pluto stations retrograde at 4° Aquarius. Watch for emerging stories about power and resources, corruption, and crime. Pluto spends nearly half of each year retrograde, so the direction of its movement has little impact. However, these slow turns tend to dig up dirt.
TIP: Use this week's fresh energy to revitalize projects that have felt stagnant.
Week 2 (May 5-11): Communication & Insights
- May 5: Mercury is in a sextile to Jupiter in Gemini. Expect a flurry of ideas and communication.
- May 6: Venus sextile Pluto + Mercury conjunct Chiron = an excellent day for therapeutic conversations.
- May 10: Mercury enters Taurus and grounds your thoughts in practical reality.
TIP: This is an ideal week for important conversations and practical planning.
Week 3 ( May 12-18): Emotional Depth & Insights
- May 12: Full Moon in Scorpio + Mercury square Pluto = a moody, intense time for reflection, perfect for indulging in a gothic romance vampire thriller. Have you seen Sinners yet?
- May 17: Venus moves beyond retrograde shadow, with new opportunities for relationships and style.
- May 18: Sun-Uranus conjunction + Mercury square Mars = sudden insights lead to action.
“What you're supposed to do when you don't like a thing is change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it.” ― Maya Angelou
Week 4 (May 19 - 25): Major Shifts & New Vision
- May 20: Sun enters Gemini, and the social energy increases.
- May 22: Venus trine Mars + Sun sextile Neptune = supportive day for creative work and connections.
- May 24: Saturn enters Aries, a new 2.5-year cycle of structure and boundaries.
- May 25: Mercury enters Gemini, boosting curiosity and adaptability.
Week 5 (May 26 - June 1): Intention & Alignment
- May 26: New Moon in Gemini, supported by Mercury sextile Neptune is imaginative and inspiring.
- May 27: Mercury trine Pluto encourages research and depth.
- May 30: Mercury conjunct the Sun adds clarity and alignment of purpose.

Taurus Season Reflection
Remember to find moments of beauty and delight amid uncertainty. In the spirit of grounding in nature's beauty, I shared this poem at my recent New Moon workshop.

This Spring
How can I love this Spring
When it's pulling me
through my life faster
Than any time before it?
When five separate dooms
are promised this decade
And here I am, just trying
to watch a bumblebee cling
to its first purple flower,
I cannot save this world.
But look, once again,
How it's trying to save me.
