I quietly celebrated my 3rd business anniversary on June 19th, while working on website and system improvements. I’m delighted to introduce you to a new booking system that replaces Calendly.

  • When you book an appointment, a client portal will be created for you in PaperBell booking.
  • In the portal, you can buy services (called Packages), manage your Appointments, and share information with me.
  • The portal offers a Content area where I can provide resources. You won’t have to search through old emails for files or links.
  • You have new choices for multi-appointment packages and financing options.

You can still go directly to my website to book appointments!

July 2024

July begins with the Sun, Venus, and Mercury in Cancer, forming a trine to Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. The Water element permeates, emphasizing emotions, intuition, and relationships. Jupiter in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius represent the Air element (thoughts, ideas, and words). Mars is approaching Uranus in Taurus for a loud conjunction in Earth (practical and material matters) mid-month.

No planets are in Fire signs yet, but Mercury, Venus, and the Sun will move into Leo in the coming weeks. As the balance shifts from Water to Fire, so will energy levels, passions, and creative force.

July 1 - July 6

The month starts slowly as two outer planets retrograde in oceanic Pisces. Saturn shifted on June 29, and Neptune turns July 2. If you feel like a ponderous manatee this week, me too! The Moon is waning, and Mars (planet of Action!) is in unhurried Taurus, contributing to a leisurely pace.

On July 2, we are graced with two supportive, flowing aspects. Mercury trines Neptune (and enters Leo), while Venus trines Saturn. These alignments invite you to slow down, breathe, and let things unfold naturally. It's a perfect time to practice patience and trust in divine timing.

July 2-3 are days ripe for exploration, deep dives into research, and indulging in your intellectual passions. With Mercury in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius, there's a potential for tension and conflict related to mental activity, communication, transactions, and travel. If you’re on the road, staying in defensive driving mode is advisable. Consider immersing yourself in a thrilling audiobook or podcast to make the most of this transit. If you’ve ever been curious about UFOs and aliens, serial killers, or cults - this is the perfect time to delve into these topics!

The New Moon takes place on July 5 at 5:57 p.m. The Moon is in Cancer with the Sun and Venus for a few days. In Cancer, planets are often oriented toward home, family, and traditions, so there is a pleasant correlation with the U.S. Independence Day holiday. Plan on your old favorite activities, foods, and beverages. With Mars and Uranus moving closely together, fireworks displays will be fantastic, full of shock and awe. Have fun and be safe!

July 7 - 13

The planetary weather is smooth sailing early in the week. I plan to visit friends in Oklahoma, and the astrology favors light-hearted social engagement. If you’re working, things should go well.

  • July 8 Venus sextile Uranus, Mercury sextile Jupiter
  • July 10 Sun trine Saturn

Venus becomes visible again as an evening star on July 10. The next day, she trines Neptune and enters Leo. Venus becomes bolder and more expressive when she enters Leo - remember the hot pink Barbie trends last summer? This may symbolize a woman’s rise to power or increasing emphasis on women’s concerns in July. One way or another, the empowerment of Venus will be reflected in world events.

In Leo, Venus’ first interaction is an opposition with ruthless Pluto. It’s a showdown. While this happens,  inflammatory Mars and erratic Uranus move within 2 degrees of each other, and situations intensify over the weekend when the Moon enters Scorpio.

All astrological transits can manifest differently, and how you experience it will vary based on your birth chart and cycles. Watch for specific themes as we approach the July 15 Mars-Uranus conjunction.

  • Passionate, whirlwind romances
  • Unexpected disasters or breakdowns (natural or human-induced)
  • Outbreaks of violence, rebellion or revolution
  • Acts of tremendous courage, sportsmanship, or daredevil deeds
  • Popular media with dark themes - mystery, murder, explosions, political intrigues, conspiracy, or revenge plots

For you, it might be as simple as compulsively buying an object you MUST HAVE RIGHT NOW. Passions run hot, and impulse control is low.

July 14 - 20

The Mars-Uranus conjunction (July 15) and its aftermath dominate the week. On July 20, Mars forms a sextile with Neptune and enters Gemini. This is a noticeable move, increasing energy and activity levels. Mars will be in Gemini with Jupiter until September 4. The part of your birth chart with Gemini will be stimulated for the next seven weeks!

July 21 - 31

July 21 is a day of heightened cosmic energy. It marks our 2nd Full Moon in Capricorn (29 degrees) this year, a rare occurrence, following the June 23 Full Moon at 2 Capricorn. The last time we witnessed such a phenomenon was in 2005, aligning with the 19-year cycle of the Lunar Nodes in Aries/Libra. This rarity adds to the intrigue of these astrological events and their potential impact on our lives.

As we approach full lunar illumination, the sky is ablaze with four more major aspects: Venus sextiles Jupiter, Mercury squares Uranus, Sun trines Neptune, and Mars trines Pluto. These alignments, along with several planets at the final or first degree of zodiac signs, signify significant impending changes. On July 22, the Sun enters Leo and opposes Pluto just after midnight on July 23.

I want to offer you a simple, accurate interpretation, but I can’t. The U.S. Republican National Convention is July 15-18, and it will be interesting to see what emerges to shape our collective experience.

My impressions are that a damaged person becomes vulnerable, defenses fall, an offer is refused, and business as usual is disrupted. This might mean strikes, trouble in financial markets, or challenges with other material or financial concerns. Whatever it is, it is significant.

You’re more likely to notice these transits personally if you have placements at 0 or 29 degrees of a zodiac sign.

On July 25, Mercury enters Virgo, where it will retrograde starting with the New Moon on August 4. Mercury retrograde periods can challenge communication, travel, and technology systems. Consider using the last few days of July to back up your work and double-check your plans. This can help you navigate the disruptions or changes the retrograde might bring.

Golden Hours

All times are CST.

Thurs, July 4 after 5 pm to Sat, July 6, 12:00 pm. . Enjoy the weekend.

Wed, July 17, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. The waxing Moon in Sagittarius moves between aspects to Venus in Leo and Jupiter in Gemini. This is a burst of expressive energy, and you can get many things done.  It’s great for active learning, socializing, and adventuring.

Fri, July 26, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm The Moon in Aries is almost to a last quarter phase, influenced by the North Node, Jupiter, and Venus. This is a Moon of action, and may feel pressure to achieve. Focus on completion rather than starting new projects. There is a tendency toward criticism or outbursts; direct it toward tasks, not people.

Sun, July 28, all-day. Is there something to celebrate? Do that. If you just want to rest, that is fine too. The Moon in Taurus encourages you to honor your physical needs, so this could be a perfect day for lying about with someone you love.
