Background

In 2002, I was in a personal crisis. After ten years in banking, I was unemployed, disillusioned with the industry and involved in a tumultuous relationship. Maria Shaw gave me an insightful astrology reading. I was hooked! I started buying books and learning through Maria and others.

An astrology consultation didn’t solve all my problems, but it helped me find clarity and hope. With insight about my birth chart, I changed my career and developed boundaries grounded in a stronger sense of self worth.

My professional journey led from financial advisor to nurse, then  educator and manager. The common denominator in all these roles was supporting people through times of change - from birth to death, and everything in between.  

Astrology credentials & formal education

In 2019, I discovered ancient astrological methods that renewed my passion. I studied with Samuel Reynolds and the School for Traditional Astrology (STA), earning a practitioner’s certificate in Horary Astrology. I use the Western Tropical zodiac and blend ancient and modern techniques to meet client needs.

Since 2020, I’ve run the New Orleans Astrology group. I’m a member of the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA) and the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR),  and I’m Senior Editor for OPA’s magazine, The Evolving Astrologer. My writing has been featured at Astro.com, in The Evolving Astrologer magazine, and at The Astrologers Co-op.

My education includes two BS degrees (Economics and Nursing), an MS in Nursing and a PhD in Nursing Education and Administration. I am proud to be a Registered Nurse and hold a specialty certification in nursing professional development. My life’s mission has been to support others in finding comfort,  empowerment, and liberation.
