My Background

My professional journey has been diverse and fulfilling, spanning roles as a financial advisor, nurse, educator, and manager. I’ve supported people in challenging situations throughout my professional life - from birth to death and everything in between.

My personal experiences have also been transformative, involving marriage, divorce, parenting, moves, career shifts, disasters and more. These challenges have all contributed to my depth of empathy and understanding.

I was in a period of relationship and job turmoil in 2002, when Maria Shaw gave me an insightful astrology reading. It was the first time I saw my entire birth chart, and witnessed the power of geometric relationships between planets. I was hooked, and started learning from Maria and buying books in earnest.

More recently, I studied traditional astrology with Samuel Reynolds, and completed a practitioner’s certificate in Horary Astrology from the School for Traditional Astrology. I use the Western Tropical zodiac and a combination of traditional and modern techniques to meet your needs.

Since 2020, I’ve run the New Orleans Astrology group. I’m a member of the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA) and the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR),  and I’m Senior Editor for OPA’s magazine, The Evolving Astrologer.

My writing has been featured at Astro.com, in The Evolving Astrologer magazine, and at The Astrologers Co-op.

My education includes two BS degrees (Economics and Nursing), an MS in Nursing and a PhD in Nursing Education and Administration. I am proud to be a Registered Nurse and hold a specialty certification in nursing professional development. My life’s mission has been to assist others in finding comfort,  empowerment, and liberation.
