October was a tough month globally, and I know some of you are facing personal challenges that emerged during the eclipses. November is more of a mixed bag. There are some challenging transits but also pockets of opportunity, so scroll down and check out the ***Golden Hours*** for the month.

### **Week 1 (Oct 29 - Nov 4)**

The vibes of the October 28 Lunar Eclipse continue into November. In Scorpio, the Sun is with Mercury and Mars, opposing Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus. There are three exact planetary oppositions this weekend: **Sun-Jupiter, Venus-Neptune, and Mercury-Uranus.** It’s likely uncomfortable, and you may feel pulled in different directions or get mixed messages.

Oppositions represent conflict and essential disagreement of values and priorities. A choice must be made. *Go north or go south? Door A or Door B?* Or you can find a compromise, some way to balance the two competing forces. With the Moon in Cancer and Saturn’s direct station in Pisces, emotions are intense, and solutions may seem impossible,

When a crab faces a threat, it is more likely to back off and hide than to use its claws. A threatened fish will turn and swim away. It might be easiest to follow the lead of the crab and fish and avoid confrontation. These transits will push you toward finding creative solutions, hope, and imagination. However, you may need to bide your time and wait for better information and options. You don’t have to solve it all today.

### **Week 2 (Nov 5 -11)**

**Venus and Mercury** form trines with Pluto and Neptune, respectively, on Monday. Mercury in Scorpio wants to get to the heart of the matter, and Venus in Virgo wants to put things in order. It’s their last action before both planets change signs.

**Venus enters Libra** on Wednesday, and this is a helpful shift. Venus in Libra wants to find harmony, but not at the cost of justice. She is in her morning star phase now, visible in the East before sunrise, and she is willing to stand up for herself and others. It’s also a real boost for anyone doing creative work.

On Friday, **Mercury moves into Sagittarius**. This is usually a rowdy, fun place for Mercury, but he immediately squares heavy-handed Saturn. This can dampen the mood and give us a tendency for “worst-case” thinking and creating stories around the situation. *(Take note of what happens, as it could foreshadow Thanksgiving weekend.)*

The brief “*What story are you telling yourself?*” video from Kylie Lewis features clips from Brene’ Brown. I think you’ll find it a worthwhile couple of minutes.

Saturday, Nov 11, the Moon in Scorpio touches sensitive spots while aggressive Mars opposes disruptive Uranus. Mars-Uranus is often the stuff of angry outbursts, explosions, and rebellions. Sometimes, it corresponds with record-breaking physical achievements or other fast, brilliant phenomena.

*Do you remember the incredible fireworks display after the 2021 Presidential Inauguration?* That was a Mars-Uranus conjunction.

One way or another, you’ll notice it when **Mars opposes Uranus**. Events happen fast and with great force in unpredictable ways. It might be fantastic fun for sports fans but can be troublesome for relationships and personal safety.

### **Week 3 (Nov 12 - 18)**

The **Sun opposes Uranus** Monday morning, following Mars closely and wrapping up the *parade of oppositions.* There might be more erratic behavior and potential for brilliant awakenings, significant technological advancements, or other intellectual, creative, or physical breakthroughs. This aspect is baked into the November 13 **New Moon in Scorpio**, flavoring the next 28 days.

Midweek, **Venus and Mercury have a sweet little sextile** encouraging civil conversation and compromise.

Friday is a big day when the **Sun-Mars conjunction** at 25 degrees Scorpio is **trine Neptune i**n Pisces. This Mars cazimi ends the Mars cycle that started two years ago in Libra. You can think of it as a New Moon phase for Mars, planting a seed for a strong, visionary 2-year cycle. *How would you like to commit your focus, will, and strength?*

### **Week 4 (Nov 19-25)**

The Sun and Mars quickly sextile Pluto on Monday and Tuesday. Then the Sun enters Sagittarius on Wednesday, and Mars follows on Friday. Both planets face a tense square with Saturn (*just like Mercury did on Nov 10).*

It is not great astro-weather for a holiday weekend. There could well be frustrations, arguments, and burned meals. Please travel with caution and don’t start unnecessary battles.

If you’re a post-Thanksgiving shopper, be wary of impulsive purchases. M**ercury is approaching a square with Neptune,** so you may not get what you expect. Fraud potential is high. Also, watch out for transportation and communication troubles, possibly weather-related.

### **Week 5 (Nov 26 - Dec 2)**

November 27 is a **Full Moon at 5 degrees of Gemini,** with the **Sun and Mars still in tight conjunction and squaring Saturn**. When the Sun and Mars were in Scorpio, positions were fixed and stubborn. Now that they are in mutable signs, there is a better chance for adaptation and change.

**Venus** will also cross 21 Libra, the point of the October 14 Solar Eclipse. I’m optimistic that this could mean progress toward healing, harmony, and justice. Soon after, though, Venus crosses the South Node and heads to a square with Pluto in Capricorn. This could mean a diminishment of goodwill and civility. Venus will lose strength when she enters Scorpio in early December, so I’m praying for a November peace agreement.

### **Golden Hours**

*All times are CST. While there are some tricky aspects this month, it was much easier to find auspicious times than in the last couple of months. Enjoy!*

**Thursday, Nov 9**

The waning Moon joins Venus in Libra, offering the potential for sweet respite from the approaching Mars-Uranus opposition. It’s suitable for interpersonal relationships or activities where beauty and aesthetics matter. Morning hours are best.

**Tuesday, Nov 14**

The New Moon enters Sagittarius and meets Mercury, with a friendly sextile to Venus. Use the morning hours for shopping or booking travel. *A Mercury retrograde begins Dec 13, so you’ll want to finish holiday tasks early.*

**Thurs, Nov 16**

The Moon isn’t exceptionally comfortable in Capricorn, but today looks useful. The Mars cazimi may give you the energy to GET THINGS DONE. More pleasant hours are in the evening (4-8 pm), so wrap up your work and do something active. Your body and your mood will thank you.

**Sat, Nov 18**

The Moon is in Aquarius today, with aspects to Jupiter and Venus. Gather with like-minded folks and improve your part of the world. Cultural and social activities will be enjoyable this evening. Try something outside your norm, and you might be surprised how much you like it!

**Wed, Nov 29**

The Moon in Cancer spends most of the day in a friendly sextile with Jupiter. Finalize holiday plans, ask for favors, or offer to help someone. Make it sweet and practical.
