This day is celebrated in many parts of the Christian world as the day that the three Magi (*Astrologers!*) visited Jesus. It’s also known as Kings’ Day. It’s the beginning of Carnival season in New Orleans, and we celebrate with a special *King Cake* and, of course, parades. I attended one of my favorite [parades, from the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc](https://joanofarcparade.org/?ref=astrologywithdenise.com), which honors the birthday (June 6, 1412) of the Maid of Orleans. The parade tells the story of Joan’s life through costume, art and music. In a horary chart, all three represent locations near fire or heat, and the Eastern direction. Sagittarius adds the indicator of high lands, hills, and horse stables. The figure hints at the body parts assigned to Sagittarius, **hips and thighs**—large muscles required for big physical movements. Sagittarius also rules the **liver**, an essential organ that serves [more than 500 functions ](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK535438/?ref=astrologywithdenise.com)in the human body. While best known for processing toxins in the blood, it also supports metabolism, immunity, digestion, and nutrition.
